The 1921 Buffalo Nickel was only made at the Philadelphia Mint and the San Francisco Mint. The Philadelphia Mint made 10,663,000 coins and the San Francisco mint struck 1,557,000 coins.

The 1921 Buffalo Nickel struck at the Philadelphia Mint were some of the nicest coins made in the Buffalo Head series. Most of the coins have very nice details. Finding a choice strike should not be a problem.

The 1921 strike is the only coin in the series that has a number 1 in the date instead of the traditional stick figure.

The 1921-S Buffalo Nickel coins were overall a good year and most coins have nice details. Finding a nice one should not be a problem.

An interesting note. The hair braid on the 1921 coins is a little more defined and different than other coins in the series.
