The 1920 Buffalo Nickel was struck by all 3 mints. 62,093,000 were minted by the Philly Mint. 9,418,000 were coined by the Denver Mint and the San Francisco Mint made 9,689,000.

The coins made at the Philadelphia Mint were not made of the best quality. Many of the coins points' of details are weak and on most coins the luster is poor. Fortunately for collectors, with the Mint making over 62 million 1920 Buffalo Head Nickel, there are enough good coins to go around.

The coins from the Denver Mint lacked great details. Many of them were made with varying quality. Finding nice ones may proof to be difficult.

The run of coins from the San Francisco Mint were pretty lousy. Coins with full details are very hard to find, if not impossible. The reverse of many of the coins is poor because of problems with the dies when the coins were struck.
